The Ice Cream Man

SpenView Publications Ltd publishes this collection of short stories set in the childhood of the author Stuart Bell.
Stuart was born in a row of colliery houses with one room upstairs and another down in a pit village that is long gone, or at least that has changed its character.

The stories are for the most part set in his seventh year, some of the events occurring contemporaneously but separated out for short story form. They show how childhood can indelibly mark a man or woman and by the screen of the human memory recall and recount events that otherwise would be lost to time.
